Pradhan Mantri Matru Vandana Yojana 2023 :-
The Ministry of Women and Child Development has implemented a maternity assistance initiative that provides a financial reward of ₹ 5000/- to expectant mothers aged 19 years and above during their first live birth. This incentive is divided into three payments, which can be claimed at specific intervals: 150 days, 180 days and on childbirth. The program is designed to benefit female employees who experienced a loss of wages due to their pregnancy
Pradhan Mantri Matru Vandana Yojana The scheme offers a financial benefit that can be used to meet the daily nutritional requirements of expectant mothers. The program is run by Anganwadi Centers (AWC) and works in collaboration with Department of Social Welfare and Empowerment and Department of Health and Family Welfare in various states and Union Territories.

Who can avail the scheme :-
• Applicant must be female.
• Applicant must be pregnant.
• Applicant must be employed and facing loss of salary due to pregnancy.
• Applicant must be at least 19 years of age.
• This scheme is applicable for first live birth only.
Benefits available for the scheme :-
1 :- First installment – ₹1000/- on early registration of pregnancy at an Anganwadi Center (AWC) / approved health facility.
2 :- Second installment – ₹2000/- At least one antenatal checkup (ANC) is received after six months of pregnancy.
3 :- 3rd installment – ₹2000/- after registration of birth and child has received first cycle of BCG, OPV, DPT and Hepatitis – B, or its equivalent/substitute.
How to apply online for the scheme :-
• If you want to register yourself then you can register by visiting the portal htpps://pmmvy.nic.in.
• The beneficiary can contact the nearest Anganwadi worker or Asha worker for registration on the portal.
• Pradhan Mantri Matru Vandana Yojana helps your bank account so Aadhaar card should be linked with the bank.
• Beneficiary should have the following information before registering on Pradhan Mantri Matru Vandana Yojana Portal – Name of Beneficiary, Aadhaar Number, Mobile Number, Address, (LMP) Date of Last Menstruation, ANC Date, Eligibility Criteria (also copy), Date of Birth of Child, OPV , DPT, BCG and Hep B (in case of child birth)
